The annual Autobarn Parts People Show Off Your Ride is approaching fast. Blackrock Casino has been confirmed as the venue for this event, which takes place on August 3.
Organisers anticipate this year’s event will even bigger and better than ever before.
“We have a big line-up of entertainment and will be making use of both the tarred area [parking lot] and pool/grass area at the casino,” says Director of Team Supersonic, Terence Chetty.
The show promises an exhilarating experience, with exciting car brands all making an appearance on the day, and a line-up to satisfy local petrolheads.
What spectators can expect at the show:
Drifting, spinning, IASCA Car Sound Competition, Mobile Dyno, RC drift cars (high powered remote control drift cars), go-karts, Meguiars SA live car restoration demo, Speed and Sound Magazine, hot hatch challenge and low limbo. There will also be food stalls, children’s entertainment, live bands and DJs, exhibitors and a beer garden.

COMPETITION TIME:
The organisers of the show are offering a VIP experience for one lucky couple, who stands a chance to win 1 set of his and hers Speed and Sound Magazine limited edition race shirts, 2 tickets to the show, a ride in a drift or spinning car of their choice, 2 complimentary rides in the Swift Racing go-karts, and free parking for the show. The total package is valued at R2 000.
