The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) invites all regular and new blood donors to come and donate a life-saving pint towards this worthy cause.

Any person older than 16 years, weighing more than 50kg and who leads a healthy, safe lifestyle can donate blood.

“Donors must remember to eat three to four hours before donating blood and increase their fluid intake before, during and after blood donation,” reminded blood clinic co-ordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain.

One simple action can make a huge difference to three lives in need.
