Sharing a life-saving pint of blood

Blood donors, both new and regular, voluntarily set out to the Estcourt Town Hall help ensure a safe blood supply for those in need

The team of nursing staff from the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) made a stop in town on Thursday.

57 people attended the clinic, with 51 of them donating a life-saving unit of blood. Three people were welcomed as first-time donors.

“Thank you to all the blood donors who took the time to come and support this worthy cause on the lovely day we had last week Thursday,” said blood clinic co-ordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain.

Njabulo Sithole donates his 27th pint of life-saving blood.

August 8 is the date of the next monthly blood donor clinic; same place and same time.

Mlindeni Sibisi bled his 51st pint last week.
