Riverdale Primary School’s Intermediate Phase observed Mandela Day with an educational tour to the Mandela Capture Site in Howick.

Riverdale learners listen attentively to the tour guide at the Mandela capture site.

And that was not all… The learners were also treated to a visit to South Beach in Durban, where they got to splash around.  Thereafter, they set off to uShaka Marine World for an enthralling dolphin and sea world show.

They also got to go to the Durban Botanical Gardens, where they learned about different plants, trees and animals. The learners and educators were accommodated at Hlalanathi Lodge, who presented the group with a token of appreciation for being valuable visitors.

“The learners really enjoyed every single activity. Thanks to our principal, Mr MM Magubane, and Intermediate Phase educators for making this tour successful, as well as the learners’ parents for allowing their children to participate. Thanks also go to the school governing body for always being on our side. Siyabonga,” expressed Mrs Gamede from Riverdale Primary School.
