The NKZN Super 8 tournament was held at VHS on Saturday, and its girls cricket team put on a great display for the home crowd.
In its first two matches, the VHS girls beat NHS by 21 runs and an invitational team by 31 runs, which set up a title-deciding match against defending champion, Ferrum High School. VHS batted first and put 56 runs on the board. The team followed this up with a tight bowling performance, which saw Ferrum end three runs short.
