Gifting more families during lockdown

The team headed to Glencoe and Dundee with 300 food parcels destined for families in need

Early last Monday morning, the Gift of the Givers Estcourt team was all packed up and ready to spread more generosity to the needy in KwaZulu-Natal.

This time, the team headed to Glencoe and Dundee with 300 food parcels destined for families in need.

“We visited Forrestdale, Craigside and Dlamini village 1, 2 and 3 in Dundee, where we distributed 200 food packs. We were joined in Dundee by the Dundee Muslim Youth Committee, who helped us,” said Gift of the Givers Estcourt representative Jaaved Khan.

Thereafter, the team set off to Glencoe.

“We distributed 100 food parcels at two drop-off points; the Glencoe Town Hall and Glencoe Civic Hall. At both venues, we were joined by Dr Zahiera Bodiat, and Aamina and Ebrahim Hoosen. They distributed masks to all beneficiaries. In total, 600 masks were handed out,” added Mr Khan.
