Community gives back in Blaauwbosch

"Sharing this little, in the spirit of Ubuntu during these difficult and trying times of the coronavirus pandemic, is the least we could do.”

The Polish sector in the Newcastle community recently donated and distributed around 100 grocery packs and cloth face masks to the Blaauwbosch communityon May 7.

Dr Blanka Owczarek, the Polish community’s spokesperson said giving back was important at this time.

“Sharing this little in the spirit of Ubuntu during these difficult and trying times of the coronavirus pandemic, is the least we could do. When we are united and stand together, we call all we win,” she said.

Owczarek thanked all those who participated in making the distribution a success, especially Sister Leo and a group of volunteers from the Holy Rosary Crèche, who provided the venue and helped to distribute the hampers.
