ATM fraud continues – lockdown or no lockdown

ATM fraudsters have never taken a break

Two cases of ATM fraud have been  reported from the Dundee Boulevard Centre. One at the Capitec ATM where a shopper was swindled out of an unspecified amount of money and the other at the ABSA ATM where a woman was distracted by a man, who had used the machine before her.

He returned and told her that he had left her slip in the machine.
Later she found that R5 000 had been withdrawn from her account.

SAPS have urged those using ATMS to ensure that no one distracts them while using the machines.
