Man shot dead while filling up with petrol

The deceased had been shot in the upper part of his body and his head

Loskop (Amangwe) police are investigating a case of murder after a man was shot and killed at a petrol station on May 27.

Just before 7pm, police were alerted about a shooting and proceeded to the scene. A gruesome sight awaited them.

“Police found the deceased, who had been shot in the upper part of his body and his head. Police suspect that while he was busy filling his vehicle with petrol, he was shot with a shotgun by an unknown number of suspects, who then ran away,” explained police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi.

Police are now looking for the suspects and appealing for information from the community.

“Anyone who can assist with information about the whereabouts of the suspects is requested to call the toll-free 08600-10111 number or use the ‘MySAPS’ App to share information,” concluded Captain Nyathi.
