Residents are advised of the following protocol that will be enforced due to the Covid-19 pandemic:
1. Face masks are to worn at all times – no masks, no entry.
2. A hand sanitizer will be available to all customers.
3. Limited amount of people will be allowed to enter premises.
4. A register to be filled in by all those that enter the premises and temperatures will be taken.
The service that will be provided includes:
1. Drivers and learners’ licences booked between March 26, 2020 to May 29, 2020.
2. Vehicle license discs expired between March 26, 2020 to May 29, 2020.
3. Expired drivers licences.
“Community members have been granted a 90-day grace period, therefore the expired disc will still be valid for that period. You are therefore requested not to rush to the traffic department to renew your vehicle licence disc,” advises Municipal Manager Patrick Mkhize.
No new bookings for drivers & learners licence services will be provided from June 17, 2020.
“A date will be communicated to our customers when we start. Please be patient with the staff as they will be working to the best of their abilities,” added Mr Mkhize.
