Ladysmith KZN: Political party cleans up streets in town

The team was seen in Buckingham Street and on the banks of the Klip River, picking up hordes of rubbish and hundreds of used condoms

Members of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Ladysmith took to the streets last Saturday afternoon (October 17) to do some cleaning up.

The team was seen in Buckingham Street and on the banks of the Klip River, picking up hordes of rubbish and hundreds of used condoms.

The DA councillors tried their level best to clean up the area, but they think they didn’t even make a dent, as there is so much filth all over the place.

The councillors commented that people are even throwing their refuse into the river, which is so bad for the environment, the fish population and people who drink the water lower down the river.
