DUNDEE KZN: Another car through a wall

'All we heard was a tremendous bang"

The Egen family of Willson Street had a huge wake up call this morning.

“There was just a tremendous bang. We thought it was coming through the roof,” said Wilma Egen. Rushing to see what had happened, they saw that a NV registered Toyota had crashed through their brick wall, sending debris everywhere, with one rock flying into the house.

Two people – a man and a young woman –  emerged from the car – and ran off into the early morning. Inspecting the car, they found alcohol bottles.

The SAPS were called but they only arrived about one-and-a-half-hours later, another neighbour said. It was said that the car, which was extensively damaged, was registered in the name of a company.

The Egen family only moved into the house in July after arriving here from Middelburg.
