NEWCASTLE KZN: Hope High School congratulates its top achievers
The matric class of 2021 has been advised toeep focused, committed and prepare in advance.

Hope High School staff has congratulated the matric class of 2020 for their wonderful achievements.
“For many matriculants, 2020 posed a tremendous challenge. Not only did they face a shortened academic year, but they also had to ‘fight’ an unseen enemy, namely the Covid-19 virus. However, learners from Hope High School once again proved their intellectual worth as the school boasts a 91.6% pass rate,” said Mageshnee Moodley from the school.
She advised the current influx of Grade 12 learners to keep focused, committed and to prepare in advance – wise advice that certainly paid off for the class of 2020!
The top 10 learners from Hope High School were:
Ngwenya Luyanda: Obtained 82.7% with six distinctions in isiZulu, English, Mathemathics, Business Studies, Life Sciences and Physical Science.
Madlopha Zandile: Obtained 81.9%with four distinctions in isiZulu, English, Accounting and Life Science.
Magubane Sbusiso: Obtained 81.6% with five distinctions in English, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Studies and Physical Science.
Zulu Zibusiso: Obtained 80.1% with five distinctions in isiZulu, English, Life Orientation, Accounting and Life Science.
Manqele Nhlanhlenhle: Obtained 76.4%with four distinctions in isiZulu, English, Accounting and Life Science.
Nhleko Mandisa: Obtained 75.4% with two distinctions in isiZulu and Business Studies.
Zitha Lindeka Luyanda: . Obtained 73.3% with three distinctions in isiZulu, English and Tourism.
Malinga Mpumelelo Thanduxolo Zimbili: Obtained 69.9% with one distinction in Business Studies.
Hlatshwayo Akhona: Obtained 67.9% with one distinction in Mathematical Literacy.
Ngema Zama Dlokovu: Obtained 67% with two distinctions in isiZulu and Business Studies.
“We encourage the matrics of 2021 to start working immediately and to give of their best from day one,” she concluded.
