NEWCASTLE KZN: Suspect nabbed for residential burglary
To gain access, the perpetrator forced the door open and proceeded to steal boxes of cigarettes.
Newcastle Detectives are investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Leopard Street in Amajuba Park on May 9.
According to Lizzy Arumugam of the SAPS Corporate Communications office, a 27-year-old suspect was apprehended.
“To gain access, the perpetrator forced the door open and proceeded to steal boxes of cigarettes,” she said.
The suspect appeared in Newcastle Magistrate Court on May 11.
Police investigations are still on-going.
