NEWCASTLE KZN: Vaccination dates changed for education employees

Dates were changed to accommodate the continued vaccination of senior citizens.

The Department of Education has announced a revision of vaccination dates for education staff within the Amajuba District.

According to a statement, schools which were meant to be vaccinated from June 28 to 30 are rescheduled for today (June 25). Those schools originally scheduled for vaccination today will remain unchanged – all vaccination sites will also remain the same.

The same statement indicates the changes to the vaccination schedule have been made to cater for the continued vaccination rollout for seniors over the age of 60.

General vaccination for seniors will continue from next week on the following dates:

June 28 – Lennoxton Primary School (target of 200 doses), Amajuba Education Centre (target of 200 doses)

June 29 – Madadeni Hall (target of 100)

June 30 – COC International Church Hall (Fulathela – target of 100), Osizweni Hall (target of 200), Utrecht Hall (target of 200), Koppie Allen Hall (target of 200)

July 1 – Madadeni Hall (target of 100), Dicks Hall (target of 200), Charlestown Community Centre (target of 200)

July 2 – Madadeni Hall (target of 100), Dicks Hall (target of 200), Lethilunye Traditional Court (target of 200), Hudula Methodist Church (target of 200), Rosary Clinic (target of 200).
