VRTHEID KZN: Company donates to five neediest community members

distributors of Esylife products, KB Dlamini, donated five food parcels to families who have been badly affected by the looting and the Covid-19 pandemic in Vryheid.

One of the distributors of Esylife products, KB Dlamini, donated five food parcels to families who have been badly affected by the looting and the Covid-19 pandemic in Vryheid. The handover took place on Saturday in their offices.

The Ladysmith-based distributor said, “The main reason why I chose to donate in Vryheid is because of the story of a child from Phongola I saw on social media who had health issues that I can’t display here. I decided to help the child with one of our products, which I donated free of charge and was worth R7000. I really wanted to help because the child was really sick.”

Dlamini worked alongside Mkhuliseli Mhlongo from the Salvation Army to identify the five neediest families around Vryheid. Then, on Saturday, the food parcels were handed over, Dlamini also mentioned that he called the child’s family to come to Vryheid so he could give them the products and also donate food, as they were struggling back home

“After I donated the food parcels, I randomly asked the people what they are going to do when the food is finished, because the food I bought will probably last them a month or two. I am a businessman and I offered them something they could do to keep food on the table. I gave them products (Esylife) for free for themselves to use or sell;

I personally told them that only if they are interested can they sell them – they are not forced to distribute the products. I can never explain how happy I am to donate these parcels to the people. It gives me joy that at least I helped someone, as these people really needed food. I am still prepared to give out more to people who are in need when I have more.” ALSO READ:Local company donates big towards Shavathon
