Ronnie Calitz’s murder trial once again postponed

In his previous court appearances, Mulhatton pleaded 'not guilty' to murder.

There has been yet another delay in the trial of murder accused Kenneth Edwin ‘Jimmy’ Mulhatton.
He appeared briefly in the Dundee Regional Court on Tuesday, only to have the case again postponed to May 17 for pre-trial.
It has been almost a year since Ronnie Calitz was murdered in his Beaconsfield Street house, which was gutted by fire on September 16, 2020. Calitz was stabbed multiple times at his home, and the house was set on fire.
In his previous court appearances, Mulhatton pleaded ‘not guilty’ to murder.
Magistrate Ferreira confirmed that there will be an Afrikaans interpreter at the trial, as Mulhatton requested.
The accused is currently incarcerated at Ladysmith Correctional Services.
