KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala resigns

A new premier will be sworn in once interviews are concluded

The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) have issued a statement confirming that KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala has resigned.

According to the statement, Zikalala offered the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) his resignation yesterday (August 4), which was accepted.

The PEC communicated with ANC national officials and were instructed to recommend three comrades who will undergo an interview process.

The names of Nomusa Dube-Ncube, Amanda Bani and Mbali Fraizer were submitted and they are going for interviews tomorrow.

A new premier will be sworn in once the interviews are concluded.

Zikalala’s resignation has been confirmed by the Provincial Legislature.
