Amajuba District Mayor engages Amakhosi during 2024/2025 IDP consultations

Mayor Zulu said concerns raised by Amakhosi and Izinduna were put to ease by the Mayor who confirmed that they had prioritised challenges.

Road infrastructure and lightning conductors were high on the agenda when the Amajuba District Municipality presented the district’s draft budget and integrated development plan, IDP, for review to Amakhosi and Izinduna.

Amajuba District Mayor, Cllr. uMntwana Ndabuko Zulu, Speaker of Council uMntwana S.O. Zulu, and Deputy Mayor Cllr. Lihle Mthembu sought to unveil transformative projects which promised substantial improvements in the rural regions of the Amajuba District.

The meeting clarified the municipality’s development strategies and objectives to advance service delivery throughout the district.

“The burning issues that dominated the session were related to lighting conductors and road infrastructure,” said the municipality’s communications department.

Mayor Zulu said concerns raised by Amakhosi and Izinduna were put to ease by the Mayor who confirmed that the municipality had prioritised challenges of road infrastructure and lighting conductors in the coming financial year.

“The meeting came to a successful conclusion as the concerns were resolved, indicating a prosperous year for the district municipality.”

Mayor uMntwana Ndabuko Zulu will now present the 2024/25 IDP budget to the community from April 16 in Emadlageni and conclude in Dannhauser on April 18
