Newcastle police are on the lookout for four suspects after they robbed a retail outlet in Scott Street at gunpoint yesterday morning (February 19).

According to Lizzy Arumugam of the Newcastle SAPS Communications Department, the incident occurred at around 10:00 when one of the suspects entered the business premises.

The other three entered shortly afterwards, demanding cash, while the store employees were forced to lie on the ground.

The suspects fled the store shortly afterwards, taking cash and clothing with them.
