A blinder of a musical evening

The long months of ‘lockdown isolation’ seemed a lifetime ago when Vryheid-based band ‘Black Whiskey’ (yes, spelled this way) brought the house down at The Shed last Friday.
Fronted by Phillip Taylor, who is known for his charismatic stage presence, the band puts its own twist on some of your all-time favourite songs and mixes them up with original tracks to deliver a hugely entertaining live set.
Simply put, ‘Black Whiskey’ is everyone’s cup of tea, as the big crowd that thronged into the venue will attest to.

In keeping with the ‘whisky theme, the ‘Peaky Blinders’ whisky ladies were on hand to serve up drams of the Irish ‘liquid gold’ in reference to the (in)famous BBCTV series about the Shelby gangster family of Birmingham.
The whisky that is drunk in the ‘Peaky Blinders’ series is ‘Gallglennie Whiskey’.
However, this does not really exist but was invented by the makers of the series.
They came up with their own brand!
The Shed was certainly rocked to the core and the diversified crowd seemed to enjoy every not
