Grand old Wasbank lady marks 100 years
Wasbank could be home to one of the oldest women in the province.
Wasbank SAPS showed their community spirit when they joined hands with the local Farmers Association to help a ‘grand old lady’ celebrate her 100th birthday.
A celebration was held last week, complete with a magnificently decorated birthday cake. Captain Mbingeleleni Cornelius Dlamini (Wasbank Station Commander) congratulated Qedile Violet Mphampha, who is possibly one of the oldest people in the district.
Her family said they are grateful for the support they received from the SAPS and the community. Mrs Mphampha reflected with dignity on her past 100 years, simply saying that God has blessed her abundantly.
