Umzinyathi businesses invited to help shape new One-Stop Service centre

Local businesses are urged to help refine the new One-Stop Service centre before its official launch.

Businesses across Umzinyathi District will soon have an opportunity to share their views on a new One-Stop Service centre set to be launched.

The Umzinyathi District Development Agency (uDDA) plans to establish the centre to streamline business support and make key services easier to access.
Chief Executive Officer MM Ndhlovu told a recent Chamber of Business meeting that the centre will decentralise important functions, cut through red tape, and bring multiple business services under one roof.

Services expected to be offered include South African Revenue Service assistance, tax and VAT registration, Companies and Intellectual Property Commission company registration, trade and investment support, tourism grading services, Department of Labour services, business financing, permits and licensing, and food safety compliance.

“The One-Stop Service centre will simplify processes, reduce bureaucracy and bring vital services closer to businesses,” Ndhlovu said.

The uDDA is working with the Business Chamber and other partners to finalise the list of services and ensure the centre meets local needs. Business owners are encouraged to take part in the consultation process and help shape the initiative.
