Dundee Tourism urges local businesses to register for official compliance

Dundee Tourism calls on all tourism businesses to register officially to improve marketing, compliance and strengthen Dundee’s growing visitor economy.

Dundee Tourism has called on all tourism-related businesses in the area to ensure they are formally registered with EDTEA, their local municipality and Dundee Tourism.
This notice applies to all accommodation providers, restaurants, adventure operators, sports facilities, heritage sites, educational tourism centres and any other tourism-related services operating within the Dundee area.

Registration strengthens marketing and compliance

Patricia Zoya of  Dundee Tourism said formal registration is essential for improving visibility, ensuring credibility and enabling businesses to access industry support and training opportunities.
Registration also assists the sector by providing accurate tourism data — a key requirement for planning, funding and long-term investment in the region.

A stronger sector will improve destination growth

Zoya said a unified and fully registered tourism sector will help position Dundee as a competitive destination within KwaZulu-Natal.
“A coordinated approach ensures visitors receive a reliable and professional experience and allows local businesses to benefit from inclusion in regional and provincial tourism initiatives.”

Support available for business owners

Dundee Tourism has encouraged business owners who need guidance with the registration process to make contact for assistance.
The organisation said it remains committed to working with all stakeholders to build a stronger, vibrant and competitive local tourism sector.

“Let us build a stronger, more vibrant and competitive Dundee — together. Register your business today,” she urged.
