A police operation netted a suspect in the Ntabamhlophe area on Friday morning (May 10).
Police commented that, “An intelligence-driven operation held in the Ntabamhlope area in the early hours of the morning resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old suspect and the recovery of a 9mm pistol with 16 rounds of ammunition.”

SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan commented that Visible Policing officers from Ntabamhlope SAPS pounced on a residence in the Emdwebu area, where they arrested the suspect for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The suspect will appear in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court soon.
