Beware of scammers who pretend to be bank employees

Don't give out any of your personal information on the phone.

Ladysmith SAPS are warning members of the public about a scam doing the rounds in the Ladysmith area at the moment. The con-artists call potential victims, pretending to be bank employees.

They say they are rectifying issues on the person’s banking app and request certain personal details, including Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) and passwords.
