Water leak woes in Albert Street

The leak is near construction work that has not yet been completed

Motorists and pedestrians are frustrated by the water leak in Albert Street.

Water has been flowing along the road into the CBD area for days now, with motorists complaining that they have to swerve out of the way. “The water splashes up and makes our cars dirty,” said one unhappy person.

The leak is close to roadworks that have not been completed yet.

Residents of nearby flats are also complaining, saying that water is going to waste. “The leak is causing havoc because it’s making a mess at the entrance to the flats,” fumed a disgruntled resident.

Pedestrians on their way to work say they have to watch where they walk for fear of getting their shoes all wet and dirty. “We have to walk in the road, where cars could hit us if we’re not careful,” was another complaint.
