Two years later and still no justice for Ronnie Calitz

The trial of the accused, Kenneth Edwin 'Jimmy' Mulhatton (32), was again delayed in the Dundee Regional Court last Thursday.

Two years after he was brutally stabbed to death and his house gutted, the family of Ronnie Calitz are still waiting for justice.
The trial of the accused, Kenneth Edwin ‘Jimmy’ Mulhatton (32), was again delayed in the Dundee Regional Court last Thursday.
Mulhatton, who has been incarcerated at the Ladysmith Correctional Centre since his arrest on September 17 2020, has appeared in court numerous times. On Thursday, he was not even brought into the court. He is facing charges of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The case will now be heard on January 24, 2023.
Calitz was stabbed multiple times in his Beaconsfield Street home on September 16, 2020. His house was then set on fire.
It is alleged that Mulhatton made off in the deceased’s bakkie and drove to a house in Glencoe, where police found him the following morning hiding under a bed.
