1 dead as bakkie loses control and ploughs off bridge on R103
Emergency services were at the scene within minutes
Four people were injured and one person has since died after the bakkie they were travelling in lost control and ploughed off a bridge on the R103 near Ladysmith.

They were on the bypass when the NKR-registered bakkie hit the bridge railings and crashed over the side, plunging a good 10 metres to the bottom of the dry riverbank.
Public Safety and emergency services responded rapidly to calls from motorists about the accident.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
