Electrical storm frightens community members

During the thunderstorm, some parts of town were left with no electricity due to the lightning

Estcourt residents are still talking about yesterday afternoon’s (November 27) frightening storm.

Booming thunder rumbled through the heavens and jagged lightning spiked the sky, with dramatic effect.

The storm hit at around 18:00 and carried on until about 19:30. What people found strange was that there was not much rain; just dangerous lightning for almost an hour.

”We thank God we are still breathing after this scary thunderstorm. I even had thoughts of everyone I had wronged, so I would apologise,” said one shaken community member.

There have, however, been no reports of anyone being injured.
