Deputy mayor set to take on sewer problems in Ward 20

He committed himself to getting all the problems fixed

Newly-appointed uThukela Deputy Mayor Mbuzeleni Mkhize is not pleased with the conditions in Ward 20.

Mkhize visited the area today (November 4) and was shown the sewer challenges that residents are faced with on a daily basis.

According to Ward Councillor Abbas Warsally, he invited the deputy mayor so he could see for himself the sewer leaks affecting Ward 20 as a whole.

Mkhize also used his visit to engage with community members, who raised concerns about leaks not being fixed after a long period of time.

The deputy mayor gave his assurance that plumbing teams from uThukela will come in their numbers on Thursday (November 7) to tackle the issues in Ward 20.
