SANBS welcomes its 2025 ‘Peer Promoters’

SANBS, hosted a vibrant workshop at The Pines Wedding and Conference Village for more than 150 Blood Donor Ambassadors from schools across the board last Friday, February 7.

Shavani Sewpaul, Donor Relations Practitioner, said the learners were selected by their schools to champion the cause of blood donation to save lives.

During the workshop, ambassadors were taken through the importance and process of blood donation.

“Besides the useful sessions, the event served as an opportunity for the learners to network and share experiences with peers from other schools,” she said.

Equipped with this knowledge, the ambassadors will return to their respective schools to share information and encourage others about the necessity of donating blood.

This team has been commissioned with the role of sensitising and mobilising more young people to involve themselves in this honourable activity.

“The SANBS wishes to thank and extend appreciation to all the participating learners and teachers for attending to make this function a success,” concluded Sewpaul.
