Flooding damages KwaDlamini Bridge

The community is eagerly awaiting a solution to this pressing issue.

The KwaDlamini Bridge has been damaged and is currently impassable due to severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall. PR Cllr Musa Nkala acknowledged the bridge’s poor state and has urged the Department of Transport to take urgent action.

“The department must fix the bridge before it gets worse or close off the road to prevent unnecessary crashes,” said Nkala. He cautioned motorists and the community to exercise caution while the bridge is being attended to.

Nkala also suggested that the bridge’s design might be contributing to the problem, recommending that it be replaced with a higher structure to allow for better water flow and reduce the risk of debris accumulation.
