Repairs to Loskop Road finally underway
The municipality initially started filling potholes along the road, and now major repairs have started.
The long-awaited repairs to Loskop Road, near the VM truck stop, have finally begun. This brings hope to motorists who have struggled with its poor condition for years.
The road has long been a source of frustration, especially during the rainy summer months when potholes and waterlogged areas make driving hazardous. Motorists have frequently complained about the damage caused to their vehicles.
Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality began filling potholes on the same road a while back.

One local driver expressed his relief, saying he’s glad that work has finally started. “I’m happy they’re finally fixing it. That road gave me a lot of problems. One night I was driving, not realising how bad the potholes were. I hit one hard and just a few metres on, my tyre burst. I had to buy a new one.”
The road has been temporally closed, so motorists are urged to use the alternative route, which is Bank Road.
With repair efforts now underway, motorists are hopeful that the road will soon be safe and smooth once again.
