Cash-in-transit vehicle crashes on R103 near Estcourt

The exact cause of the crash has not yet been confirmed.

A cash-in-transit vehicle was involved in a crash on the R103 near Estcourt, heading towards Frere, this afternoon (October 7).

The vehicle reportedly veered off the road and hit a tree.

Emergency services, including the Inkosi Langalibalele Fire Department and a heavy police presence, rushed to the scene.

Authorities at the scene confirmed that it was a motor vehicle accident, not a heist.

Those who sustained injuries were treated and taken to hospital for further care.
