Rain fails to dampen church fundraiser spirit

Newcastle Community Church’s annual fundraiser thrived despite heavy rain, with laughter, food, and gospel music.

The pouring rain over the weekend did not deter the Newcastle Gemeenskapskerk/Community Church from holding its annual fundraiser market on Saturday, November 1.

The hall was alive with laughter and the aroma of tempting pancakes and freshly baked pudding as supporters gathered for an afternoon of fellowship.

Reverend Fritz Olivier opened the event with a word of thanks and prayer, setting the tone for a joyful community gathering.

The festivities concluded in the evening with an uplifting performance by gospel artist Willie Joubert.
