Endumeni introduces acting municipal manager to stabilise administration

Endumeni appoints acting municipal manager to strengthen leadership and improve service delivery

Endumeni Municipality officially introduced its newly-appointed acting municipal manager, Thandelwethu Manda, during a recent special staff meeting convened by the mayor.
Manda’s appointment by the MEC for Co-operative Governance & Traditional Affairs comes in the wake of the passing of former acting municipal manager Martin Sithole, who died recently after a short illness.

Mayor Mcebo Mkhize described Manda as a ‘seasoned public servant who brings extensive experience in local government administration’. He holds qualifications in public administration and management, and has served in several senior leadership roles.
He has worked at municipalities including AbaQulusi, Jozini and Inkosi Langalibalele, where he contributed to strengthening governance systems and improving service delivery.

“Although originally from the Eastern Cape, Mr Manda is well acquainted with KwaZulu-Natal, having spent much of his career working within the province,” Mkhize said. In his address to staff, Manda called for decisive leadership, effective management and improved efficiency.
“Leadership must lead decisively, management must execute their responsibilities effectively, and staff must work efficiently to ensure that communities receive quality services that deliver value for money,” he said.
