Zim Stars secure dominant Super League victory

City of Refuge earned their first win of the season, putting in a disciplined performance.

The City of Refuge Super League continued this past weekend, with several entertaining fixtures showcasing quality football across Newcastle.

Zim Stars overpower School of Industries

School of Industries hosted Zim Stars at the School of Industries grounds and made a positive start, taking an early lead.

Zim Stars responded well and continued to play at a high tempo, eventually finding the equaliser. They maintained control for much of the match and proved too strong for their opponents, securing a convincing 5-1 victory.

Newcastle Legends welcomed Munawarah to the School of Industries grounds in what proved to be a closely contested encounter.

Legends led 1-0 in a tense match, with Munawarah applying sustained pressure in search of an equaliser. However, the Legends defence stood firm. As Munawarah committed more players forward, Legends capitalised on a counter-attack to score a second goal and seal a 2-0 victory.

City of Refuge claim first win of the season

At the Fernwood Grounds, City of Refuge recorded their first win of the season, defeating Aura Stars 3-0. The victory was built on a disciplined and skilful team performance.

In another fixture, Aura Galaxy claimed a 5-2 win over Hammers.
