Dundee High School will host its second visiting rugby team from the United Kingdom in less than a month when Worcester Royal Grammar School takes to the field on August 5. The visit follows the highly successful tour by Royal Lancaster Grammar School just a few weeks ago, further strengthening the school’s growing international rugby connections and providing another exciting opportunity for local players to test themselves against overseas opposition.

Founded in 1291, Worcester Royal Grammar School is one of England’s oldest independent schools. Based in the city of Worcester, the school has a long-standing tradition of academic excellence and a strong sporting culture, with rugby playing a prominent role in school life. Touring forms an important part of its rugby programme, giving players the chance to experience different countries, cultures and styles of play while building lasting friendships through the game.

Game fixtures

The visit provides a wonderful opportunity for young players to test themselves against overseas opposition while building friendships through sport. The matches promise to showcase competitive rugby, teamwork and mutual respect.

The day’s fixtures will see the under-15 teams kick off at 14:50 on A Field, followed by the under-17 clash at 16:00, also on A Field.

Dundee High’s Dave van der Westhuizen said the school extends a warm welcome to its visitors and wishes both teams an enjoyable and memorable afternoon of rugby.
