Volksrust High School builds leaders at day camp

The children acquired leadership skills through teamwork as they set priorities and values for the year ahead.

Volksrust High School’s Elected Committee (EC) and Representative Council of Learners (RCL) gathered for a day camp last Monday (January 12).

During the camp, the teachers and learners discussed leadership and plans for the year ahead. The value system was rebranded and reintroduced as follow: RESPECT, LOVE, INTEGRITY, TEAMWORK and RESPONSIBILITY.

Taking part in fun and positive team-building activities gave the learners an opportunity to strengthen their bond with one another.

“We look forward to all the wonderful projects the EC and RCL groups will host this year,” a school official enthused.
