Volksrust High School’s netball teams hosted Newcastle High School on home soil for a full day of competitive action. The matches tested the Volkies players’ resilience and teamwork against strong visiting sides.

Results

The U/14 team played a tight and exciting match, but narrowly lost 11-9, showing great determination until the final whistle.

The U/15 team put in a solid performance and fought hard for a 9-9 draw, with both teams evenly matched throughout the game.

The U/16 team faced tough opposition and was defeated 20-10, gaining valuable experience.

The Volkies’ second team encountered a challenging match and went down 34-1, while the first team worked hard but lost 24-9 against strong opposition.

Not giving up

Although the results did not all go Volkies’ way, hosting these matches in Volksrust gave their players important game-time and learning opportunities.
