The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) recently held a raffle for a meat hamper and the draw was held on Saturday. The winner is Mr G Boardman – congratulations! The AACL would like to thank the sponsors of the Oriental Golf Day for their financial contribution and everyone who supported the league by buying a ticket in the raffle. The event would not have been possible without the donations from Rita Britz, Pick ‘n Pay customers, Hamilton Preparatory School, De Franca’s Spar, Pierre Massyn, Mrs Swanepoel and Mrs Chetty.
The league would like the public’s help in finding two lost dogs. One is a brown Sausage Dog who responds to the name ‘Oliver’. He went missing from the Kudu Street area. Then there is a white Bull Terrier who is deformed on one side of her face. Her name is ‘Lulu’ and she went missing from the Hospital Park area. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these two animals, please call 076-151-1784.
The league would like to remind the public, especially schoolchildren who would like to study further, that they may do community service hours at the kennels. This is necessary for certain university degrees and is also a great way to help those in need. Please call if you are interested.
