No new animal cruelty cases

The AACL is happy to report that there are no new cases of animal cruelty or abuse

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is happy to report that there are no new cases of animal cruelty or abuse. If you know of an animal that is being mistreated, please contact the AACL on 076-151-1784.

Please also be aware that you cannot ‘just dump’ stray or unwanted animals at the kennels. The league survives on donations and as you can imagine, keeping the animals there and taking them to the vet if they have to be ‘put down’ all costs money. All donations, big or small, are much appreciated.

A need at the moment is blankets. Winter is on the way and even though our four-legged friends have fur, they still get cold. The league also needs cat and dog food, both dry and tinned. Please help the animals by dropping off these items at the kennels in Newcastle Road.

At the moment, there are many cats and dogs, including puppies and kittens, that are in desperate need of a kind and loving home. Please come and choose the perfect pet for your family.

A male Jack Russell by the name of ‘Buddy’ has gone missing from his home in Ruby Gailey Drive. Please contact the above number if you have any information regarding his whereabouts, as his family are very worried about him and want their best friend back!

Thanks to Pierre Massyn and Mrs Meyer who have shown how big their hearts are by helping the animals.
