MM responds to ‘stuck in a sinkhole’

We would also like to assess the vehicle to establish the extent of the damages so we could engage on the matter with a positive aim to peacefully close the matter

Our Civil Department has been without key managerial staff for some time. We have been able to attract a suitable qualified team members that have started to ply their trade with the municipality two months ago.

They are the force behind the notable changes we now observe throughout our areas such as Wembezi and Weenen. We have just completed Connor Street in the central business district and have advertised further projects whilst we execute pothole patching as day-to-day activities internally.

We welcome PD Henderson to meet us to discuss the matter and jointly map a way forward to amicably reach a solution. We would also like to assess the vehicle to establish the extent of the damages so we could engage on the matter with a positive aim to peacefully close the matter. I am looking forward to a fruitful meeting with Mr PD Henderson in the very near future.

Ms PN Njoko
Umtshezi Municipal Manager
