Dangerous drivers in Forderville must be dealt with

They don't care how they drive; they overtake anywhere, even if it is not safe and have no regard for pedestrians or other drivers

Finally, someone has spoken out about the dangerous conditions on Forderville roads. (Estcourt News, November 7, page 6, Dangerous roads in Forderville). I have been living in Fifth Avenue for more than ten years and I too have noticed how dangerously people drive.

I have also noticed that people who are rushing to and from mosque or picking up their children from Siraatul Haq School are the main perpetrators. They don’t care how they drive; they overtake anywhere, even if it is not safe and have no regard for pedestrians or other drivers. Although speed humps, as Mr Shaik Ameer proposed might provide some relief, I think that some of these drivers would not see it as a speeding deterrent.

Maybe the traffic officers could help us to control the traffic, especially during busy times like the mornings and in the afternoons between 2pm and 3pm. It is about time that someone spoke out about these inconsiderate drivers who don’t spare a thought for the lives of others and they must be dealt with.
