Take heed to the matters needing urgent attention in our town

I suggest that the powers that be get out of their offices and take a WALK around the town and see for themselves the conditions the roads and pavements

Editor
Why spend money on unnecessary name changes and parking meters, when the following needs urgent attention? Road sinking in Phillip Street at the side entrance of the police station.

Potholes in the following streets:
Alexandra Street, parking in front of shops, Victoria Street in front of chemist parking, Harding, Albert, MacFarlane Street at the entrance to Shepstone Place, Barfield Street (also street lights behind Parkside has been off for over a year). Pavements in shocking condition: Phillip Street, Harding Street – from robot to post office, Victoria Street – between Methodist Church and Foodzone, Albert Street, Connor Street in front of St Matthew’s Church.

These are just a few places in town; there are more in the residential areas. I suggest that the powers that be get out of their offices and take a WALK around the town and see for themselves the conditions the roads and pavements are in and do something about them. It will create more jobs than parking meters and name changes. Hoping to see improvement to the town soon.
