Madam – It was with heartache that I read the article regarding Nelson Adams, who was savagely attacked by a dog.

While he was lucky to survive the dog’s vicious onslaught, I find the actions of the owner’s actions more cruel than than that of her pet. She purposefully took the child into her yard, even though Nelson’s grandmother said no. This comes after she had wanted to bring the dog into the Adams family’s yard.

A person would think she had wanted someone to get hurt.

I know we cannot judge and there are two sides to every story, [but] the fact that she did not want to give her side of the story adds weight to her guilt. Sometimes “No comment” is a comment. Due to her actions, an innocent child has been left scarred.

We can also not forget the second victim, the dog.

The animal was made to be vicious; it was not born that way. The dog will now be branded as a monster, due to its upbringing.

Such a pity that we live in a cruel world, a world where the innocent are never safe.
