Stop these mindless attacks!

The South African constitution has been acknowledged as being one of the best in the world.
It guarantees the rights of all our citizens with their many cultures and religions. If we allow any individual to destroy or deface statues and monuments depicting events in our multi-cultural history, we are laying ourselves open to further attacks on other sections of our society and other statues and monuments. The resulting chaos could have dramatic and tragic consequences for our country’s future. Immediate action should be taken by the relevant authorities to put an end to these mindless and thoughtless attacks on our statues before it is too late.
