Water restrictions coming

The Democratic Alliance Councillors write:-

PLEASE note that water restrictions will commence next week. The water situation is very serious and we appeal to the public to save water.

The fact that one can afford to pay the fines is not a reason for wasting or using excessive amounts of water. Please report people who waste water to your councillor. People who have a bore hole are also urged to use them sparingly, because it affects the water table. It is a good idea to put up a sign that you have a bore hole.

The project at the dump site is also not moving and we have requested a meeting with the department of the environment this week to resolve the problem.
