Digital terrorists and trolls

Madam – This is the world of digital terrorist and trolls.

The age of hackers and geeks, and it’s a damn fun age to live in. Everyday we discover something new, and technology evolves that much more. But what about human evolution? Have we stopped evolving?

The other day I picked up my tablet, and noticed my son had downloaded a bunch of games. He is seven, but he had managed to download games from the Google store and more.

And then I asked myself is this the next step of evolution? Being able to use technology so perfectly to do exactly what we want? Years ago, there was that movie Matrix, I wouldn’t be surprised if that is the direction we’re heading in.

The world’s resources are fast being depleted, and technology is expanding much faster than many had anticipated. So, what’s stopping the machines from one-day taking over?

Conspiracy theories aside, I ask you to do this. When was the last time you recognised the beautiful world we live in? As humans evolve and grow, the natural world becomes smaller. So when was the last time you let yourself be absorbed into nature?

Take a drive to the middle of nowhere, show your children the beauty of the natural world, and above all please, stop wasting, conserve what is left, because I personally don’t want to live in a world like the world portrayed in the Matrix.
